Metal punches or punch presses are used for “punching” or cutting holes in the material. Punch presses are similar to stamping presses in the fact that they work off a moving top ram and a stationary bottom ram/table while utilizing tooling. The difference is that they typically aren’t used for forming or shaping metal. Because of this, they hold a simple male punching die in the top cylinder and a matching female die on the table to achieve punching that die shape when actuated. We sell several used punch presses from such manufacturers as Strippit, Amada, and Piranha.
