Broaches are machines that are used to machine material through the utilization of a toothed tool called a broach. Unlike a drill or machining center that turns the tooling to achieve the desired hole shape, broaches push the tooling back and forth to achieve the desired shape. Due to this functionality, a broach has the capability to produce shapes that are not possible through other conventional methods of machining.
